20 years after learning to stone carve, I learned to weld and create flowing sculptures out of metal.  I am fascinated by how one can heat something solid, bind it with electricity and gases and make fluid lines with hard sharp edges or curved surfaces that lead your eye up, around and out.  My metal work is from practical – a gate, to surreal – a representational steel hammock,  to introspective – a steel quilt.
